Clip in extensions is one of the fastest and stress free extension technique available in the beauty industry. Typicaly a full set is enough for a full head application. A set includes ten pre cut wefts. The extension are 100% virgin hair, available in Peruvian straight, curly , and body wave. You can add highlights and color them to match your desired shade.
A perfect candidate for clip in extensions would be a client who needs glam for a special event such as a wedding or prom. It’s a great option for someone new to wearing hair extensions because they do not require a long term commitment. You can sleep in the extensions and wear them until wash day, or remove and re install daily.
This technique is essentially for clients wanting length and volume, without a high maintenance technique.
We live in a ready made, and fast pace society. Everything has a instant download, or immediate satisfaction,so naturally we want our hair to grow fast too!
The truth is hair has a scientific cycle broken into three different phases . Anagen ( growth phase ) , Catagen ( transition phase), Telogen ( Resting Phase), and Exogen (hair shedding phase).
Your hair is working daily to shed and replace hair . Blood is circulating at the root to get the process started.
Things like drinking water , exercise , and rest are daily things that we can do that promote the healthy growth of cells in our body.
Trimming your ends every two months is necessary for maintaining thick tresses. You can expect your hair to grow about a half inch to a inch each month. The average person grows six inches per year.
Botanical oil,and protein based products aid in assisting the exceleration of hair growth.
The top oils for hair treatments.
Rosemary – prevents thinning , graying.
Peppermint Oil- increases blood flow, prevents dry scalp.
Jojoba Oil- keeps scalp moisturized without residue , repairs hair cells to reproduce at a fast pace.
Coconut Oil- fatty acids produce thicker hair faster and removes sebum build up.
Almond Oil – nourishes and strengthens hair .Aids in preventing hair loss and treating damaged hair.
Vitamin E – Repair damaged follicles, promotes blood circulation, and acts as a deep moisturizer.
Soybean Oil- helps the hair retain moisture
In this weeks post, I will show you the benefit of combining our Vita Beauty Conditioner, Beauty Fix Hair Masque , and the Rescue Treatment Oil.
The model has naturally thick and curly hair ,which tends to be very drying especially during the cooler temperatures. This treatment is great for both natural and chemically treated hair clients, because it will replenish the hair of its natural keratin, moisturize, and soothe an itchy scalp.
I recommend using this treatment especially after coming from protective styling like braids and weaves, or after a new hair color. Your hair will have more shine, no shedding , and your silk press will be silkier!
The treatment is easy to apply at home,or relax and let one of our stylist apply it for you.
The Summer time is great for cook outs , and lazy days at the beach !
What’s not so great is what the humidity can do to your fresh blow out .
Nobody wants to spend money on a new color and style only to have it turn into a puff ball hours later !
So I know you want your hair to look pretty , so why not get a smoothing treatment ?
I know you want to know if that stuff really works , and the answer is yes ! At the salon we offer the Hair 360 Protein Transformation Treatment.
The Hair 360 system is a heat activated Amino Protein treatment that will strengthen your hair , elongate your curl pattern ,and to reduce frizz for up to 12 weeks.
The treatment is absolutely safe for color treated hair , formaldehyde free and works for every hair type.
Another great thing about the product is you can wear your hair naturally curly.
The service typically takes about 2-3 hours depending on the length of your hair and the price ranges from $150-$250.
During the month of June the service is available at the promotional price of $100 !
Wanting a natural looking head of extensions has to be the biggest hair goal for hair gals who love to wear weaves, wigs , and extensions.
Before the great lace take over , many woman just wore their natural hair out to cover the added tracks and extensions.
Unfortunately a huge number of woman experienced heat damage because they constantly put heat on there natural hair just to make it blend with weaving hair that did not match their natural texture. If your hair did not break off from heat damage you most likely experienced uneven hair growth , with the majority of the braided up hair longer than the hair you used to cover the tracks!
I personally have been studying the art of hair extensions for about 18 years now , and experienced weave trends come ,go, and come back around again.
A Lot of my fellow hair gals have no choice but to go for complete protective styles until they can get their hair back healthy again , but if you are not a lace girl and still love a traditional or vixen sewn in weave here are a few tips to keep your hair in tact.
Leave Out Rules 101
- No heat on dirty hair
- Use a heat protectant like our’s that’s made with Vitamin E and JoJoba Oil
- Shampoo and Condition weekly
- Apply our fresh mint oil to eliminate dryness 2 times a week
- Use conditioners made with Keratin Protein like our Beauty Fix to tame frizzy hair
- Switch the way you part your hair
- Always sleep on silk or satin
- Only wear hair extensions that match your hair texture the best to get the best blend
- Consult a professional for proper installs
I am so glad we are a more health conscious society!
It only took us about fifty years or so to realize all the damage we have done trying to modernize our world , it has cost us our health and environment.
Even what we put into our bodies affect the health of our hair , skin , and nails. It has always been a goal of mine to happily marry great style without sacrificing the health of the hair.
At Nbeauty Inc , we use a vitamin based shampoo and conditioner to strengthen , grow , and nourish fragile hair. The elements in the air , the medications , along with the food we eat , puts our hair at risk for breakage and damage.
Let me also mention we use no Sulfur ( a common detergent also found in many house hold cleansers that dry your hair out ) there is also no Sodium Chloride ( Salt ) or Parabeans ( common ingredient found in many cosmetics that has also been linked to causing Cancer).
Now lets get back to the good stuff like the Biotin in our products ! Biotin and Vitamin B5 like all B Vitamins are known as Pro Vitamins because they contain Amino Acids and proteins that strengthen and repair . Collagen is also derived from Pro B Vitamins , and will make your hair fuller with regular use. Now if you have thick hair already it will maintain what you have and give you a extra boost during times of shedding .
All this sounds good but if you have thick curly hair like mine , you really need those tangles out , and hair left soft ! Don’t worry I got you sis , the conditioner has plant extracts that soothe your scalp and softens your hair leaving it shiny , and easy to comb through. The formula is non greasy and safe for all hair types.
You will get the best benefits of the product with regular use , I personally recommend weekly usage especially when your hair is in desperate need of repair. We are now making these products available for you to take them home.
Take advantage of our Pre Sale and get these amazing products for 20% off. Purchase them directly in our shop now section of the website.
With all the different weave options available , how do you know what’s the best option for you?
I ask clients first do you want a style that will require at home maintenance , or do you want to wake up and go!
Another thing to ask yourself is do I want to wear a ponytail , and be able to move my parts around ?
If you answered yes to that question than I would suggest you schedule a versatile sewn in weave.
The braid foundation will allow you to wear a high ponytail , and move your parts around if you choose.
For best results with the service we suggest that you also get a hair 360 smoothing treatment if you have unruly hair that you want to blend with the hair extensions.
During the month of June the Versatile Weave is priced at $100 when you also get the Hair 360 Smoothing Treatment.
The biggest fight between clients and stylist has to be trimming split ends. To a client there is no good reason why I should trim my ends if I want my hair to grow.
Based on theory and hair composition , an educated hair stylist knows the growth , fall , and replacement cycle of the hair.
Cosmetologist are also trained to see split ends of hair that will eventually spread like a weed up to the hair shaft .
The end result is thin ends that will not hold a curl , and will continuously shed. The goal should always be healthy hair , and then length. A normal healthy scalp that is cleansed and conditioned on a regular basics will produce a strong head of hair. The volume and length of your hair is based on your DNA.
Our salon brand shampoo and conditioner is made up of collagen for fullness , and b vitamins for strength. Outside of salon visits we recommend using a daily hair vitamin to strengthen weak and slow growing hair.
I believe that most clients know they should trim their hair , but they fear the stylist will cut too much hair off. The best thing to do is to ask your stylist to show you how much hair needs to be trimmed , that way you have a clear understanding of what will be cut. In most cases you will only need less than one inch of hair trimmed if you are a frequent salon client.
Here’s a list of things that may cause split ends
- Excessive use of hot styling tools (irons, hot curlers, blow dryers, hot combs)
- Overuse of chemical treatments (relaxers, perms, hair color).
- Use of inferior styling tools that rip or snag hair (cheap synthetic brushes or combs, brush rollers, etc.)
- Environmental damage from heat, cold, wind and other climate issues.
- Lack of routine maintenance such as regular trimming and deep conditioning treatments
- Improper detangling techniques (brushing wet hair)
- Overwashing or using a clarifying shampoo too frequently
- Use of inferior hair care products
- Excessive use of styling products such as gels, waxes and sprays
- Trimming with inferior scissors
- Scratchy bedclothes, fingers, or hands.
